I can't get this expensive piece of leather to dry my car as well as a towel but i keep hearing folks that just love them. What's the trick to using it?

The chamois must be wet. Do not use it dry. I soak mine in a pail of water while I wash the car. Then wring it out and lay it flat on the car surface and pull it towards you. Usually after 2 passes you need to wring it out again and continue. I've always used chamois to dry my car but make sure your suface is absolutely clean or you'll be dragging dirt over your surface. Some people use a leaf blower to "blow dry" their Vette. Haven't tried this yet but I'm sure it works well. I usually use a wet vac to suck out the water in the side mirrors, door handles, tail lights and trunk and hood area. Good luck.

i use something called "the absorber". it's a synthetic chamois. i've had much better luck with this thing then the natural chamois.

I use both!

One swipe with the absorber and one with a chamois and my car is dry as a bone!
