I just got a laptop and was using Carputing's PCMCom for the first time.. and I noticed my throttle pos. never went to 100% and I found the throttle cable needed adjusting.. so I adjusted it and now I am getting 100% throttle.. I am excited because it would max At 80% so I was loosing 20% of my throttle.. I have noticed a nice improvement in acceleration...

Ain't it a nice feeling when that rare incidence of the free horsepower genie grants your wish? Congratulations on your newfound, or rather re-found, horsepower Rick. :upthumbs

Sounds like you will be using that laptop to order new rear tires next ;)

LoL don't tell me about tires... I just got a nice bolt in one of my new eagle hp ultra's in the rear and I still need to buy a spare.. so hopefully no more tires for a while.. even with my discount almost 200$ a pop sheesh..

And yes free hp or re gained hp is good..

This subject has been on my mind increasingly lately. I've gotta laptop---and a Vette. My buddy has a shop and all the OBD scan stuff. What would be the advantage if any for me to get one of these programs and hookups for my car. Are there varying programs and capabilities that a computer could bring to my car and or his shop over what he has? What is the cost of the equipmengt beyond the computer;shrug :confused
