I saw an interesting article in the February 2005 issue of Hot Rod Magazine:
THE NEXT BIG BODY STYLE?

Maybe HRM staffers Davis and Kinnan were ahead of their time with a lust for fender-flared Vettes. Or not.

Early Camaros are so hot they glow, and a large contingent of enthusiasts can't wait for that to go away. So what's the next hottie?

Few people we spoke to were willing to spew answers we agreed with. That means that some still say that the third-gen F-bodies and '78-'88 GM G-bodies will be the V-8 cars with the combination of budget and style that can transcend the pricey musclecars. But honestly, we've dropped that hook in the water a million times and no one's biting.

The only vehement answer we got was from Matt Held at Holley Performance Products, a C3 owner who swears that the '68-'82 Corvettes - and especially the smog-year versions - will be the next hot body style. Even Bloomington Gold guys don't over-glorify 'em, so there's no fear of hopping them up. And Held says that Vette headers are already the third-best selling part number in the Hooker Headers lineup.

We still think C4s offer better performance for the buck. But could there be a C3 in your future?

RATS!! And to think I sold mine a year ahead of the trend!!!

Oh, that's right- I was on the C5 trend. I hate peer pressure!!!

Well, to whom ever has that car... have fun. I know I did!
