My car sounds great but frankly it's a bit loud for me. Is there anything available like the old hush thrush mufflers which keeps the car relatively quiet until you open it up then you get pretty much straight pipes? my brother mentioned flowmaster but I didn't see anything like that on their site.

Use to be made in Canada. Don't know who. But to loud as I remember back in the '70's. Had the WoodPecker with cigar in the mouth on them. Right?

yeah he looked a bit like woody
I remember these mufflers. The regular Thrush mufflers were glass packs if I remember right, and got louder as they aged. The Hush Thrush were somewhat quieter, but not a lot. Flowmasters are very good as they have no packing at all. The larger sizes are quiet, while the smaller ones are somewhat louder and deeper sounding. I had a set of the larger ones on my, dare I say it here?, Mustang, a few years ago, and they were very pleasant sounding, and stayed thay way until I sold the car.

If my Corvette ever needs mufflers that is what I will have put on it. Well worth the few extra dollars.
