Help! Hypertech Thermo Question!!

Hey fellow Vetters!! Im new to the site and right off the bat I need some wisdom from the powers that be. I just flushed my cooling system and installed new hoses, but i also replaced the stock stat (195) with a Hypertech unit (160) and I want to program the fans to come on sooner. When should the Stage 1and 2 fans come on and anyone who uses this stat I would love to know what you think of it? Thanks !! STAY KOOL!!!

Since you have the low temp stat but a stock radiator and a 50/50 coolant mix, I'd set the fan-ons for 190 deg.

Thanks but Im curious. Before I saw your response, I set the fans to come on at 170 and over the last day or so the car not only runs much cooler but its more responsive and runs like a scalded rat. Should I leave it this way and if not why not?
