I just started taking out my carpet to put in the Reflextix and I cant get the back bolts out. I cant even reach them with a socket extention and I dont know what to do. I can touch the bolt on th inner side but cant get it to line up so I can turn it. What tool do I need to buy to reach this? Also what glue and tape did you all use to put the Reflextix in?

I'm sure you probably tried this but just in case, did you move the seats forward on the tracks?

lol I feel stupid that was it. Anyway one seat out, Do I just rip the carpet up if its glue down, will it damage it? And what about the stuff near the shifter that seems on really good.

Damn now I need a star tool to get the seat belts out. Also there seems to be padding/insulation. Do I put that on top of the Reflextix?

There is a 1/2 hole in my floor and all the insulation was wet. The hole looks like its suppose to be there tho but everything is getting wet.

Doh I just broke the side panel next to the shiffter, just wood stuff hope its not to much.

Ok almost got it all out only thing holding me back is this stupid bolt that takes one of those star screw drivers that I dont have.

I saw some tape in your picture what was that for and what type? Also I was thinking about putting a nice loop carpet instead of this cheap crap they sent me. It sucks I cant beleive thats what they sent me, feels like stuff I could have bought at auto zone.

Bender,

You need a Torx driver to get those seat belt bolts out, and it's a lot of torque to undo them. Get a set that adapts to your socket wrench if you have the option.

Pete.

Bought one I had to go to 3 places to find one. Another problem, there seems to be rust on the floor pan. Also I dont have the plug but can I put it in now and plug it from the bottom some how? What should I do about the rust?

I got some foil tape is that the same stuff? Well I sanded down the rust as much as I could then sprayed the whole thing with Rustolem, the light blue stuff. Now I have a hard decsion to make, the carpet I got I dont like the loop and it does not fit right so I was thinking about ordering some new carpet, the nice loop like the stuff you have in your house instead of this cheap fuzz also I was thinking about only doing the front in nice carpet since the back is cover all the time but I dont know how that would look.

Anohter 275.00 :( Does that come with the padding? I want a sample before I order this time. Any one have a picture of a corvette with stock black carpet?

Foil tape is the same thing.

Try The Last Detail for your carpet. They were the cheapest when I purchased mine and it came from one of the name brand places.

Try your local hardware store for the plugs. I think I have seen them there.
