Grand Sport 001 in the flesh!!!

Gran Sport #001 was at the Corvette Corral at Mid Ohio, I have always admired these Cars that Zora Built and now I have seen one up close.

I dont know how good the pictures came out since my laptop display is not working very well:L

That's what happens when cars change owners. The last time I saw #1 at Mid Ohio it was racing in the exibition class. Now it's just a show pony.

That car is one serious looking machine! Man Zora had some tricks up his sleeve. Stupid Q # 999: did that project also have a coupe version??

not a stupid question they were all coupes to start, number 001 and 002 had their lids cropped for areodynamics (or lack of it) :L

Thanks Bossvette! I thought I remembered a R&T(?) story from the late 70's about someone finding 004 or 003 in a barn in the SW and restoring it. Just dated myself Tom

When they were lining up for the parade lap one of the formula races was about to start the Driver of the Grand Sport had started it up and moved it to where we were to enter the track; it was so loud he was asked to shut it down till after the race started (the rumble was scaring the bmws)
