I got my license exactly 16 years ago today...

and I finally own the car that I have lusted after since that day.

Funny how you remember stupid things. I got my license exactly 2 months after my 16th birthday, 4/27/87. I have wanted to own a Corvette ever since that day (actually since I saw the first one that I remember back in 1976). Today, I bought a 6 speed 50th Anniversary Coupe. I didn't get the GM Supplier Discount like I hoped, but I got a fair price & 0% more than makes up for the difference.

A couple of newbie questions:

1) For those who have two tops, where do you store the 2nd top when its not in the car? Is there some sort of protective bag that I can get?

2) Is Window Valet worth it? Who sells it?

3) What do you use to clean the interior leather? I can already see that it is going to be a full time job.

I'm sure I will have more, but that will get me started.

The pic I have is too big. I will take one tomorrow that I can post.

I store the 2nd top wrapped in an old blanket. You can buy a bag from one of the vendors; like Ecklers.

Lots of different opinions on interior; I suggest you go the the Care & Detailing Forum and read some of the threads.

First of all, congrats on your car! Sweet car and the six speed is a lot of fun!

I have a couple off friends that installed the window valet and love it.

I was using Lexol leather cleaner and conditioner and Eagle One products, but a buddy told me about Zaino. I had already been using their polish. I tried both their cleaner and conditioner and got hooked. They both worked great and leave the car smelling good. Not perfumey, just good.

There are lots of good products out there. It's just a matter of personal preference.
