1994 Torch Red Coupe
Well i finanly broke down and bought my corvette, wanted a car to drive instead of repair and rebuilt that will be at a different time in my life so i got myself a nice deal i couldnt pass up so i am an owner of a 94 red and black interior corvette. All orginal and trying to figure out how to custimize it lol its like a bright shiny new toy lol i am more or less convinced i need to switch out the stereo since i dont even own a cd let alone a tap any more. I have 2 ipods full of music so might as well figure out a way to use that. Well if i can figure out how to post a picture i will do that lol What i have so far for custimization is the chromed wheels and possibly buying a different hard cover for it the smoked gray instead of the painted top but dont know yet but i own one free and clear. The link below is my car but dont know how long the dealer is going to keep the site up soo we will just go with it. Oh i got this car at 10k

EDIT: Please allow me to help you out. This one is loaded in my albums folders so that it will still be here if the dealership takes their photos down. This way you can show her off. Now come home safe and sound so that you can enjoy her! XLR8 aka Jane Ann :)

My first Corvette, a 1994 TR with black interior, was almost exactly like yours, even had 75,000 miles on her... except mine was a convertible and had a black luggage rack on the rear deck.

Here are a couple more pix for you to share:

Thank you lol took me 45 min to save a picture let alone reupload it damn afgainstain band with but only have a mo now left
Glad I could help! I remember how excited I was with my first Vette and given your location, I suspected photos to share with friends (and to enjoy yourself) would be at best, difficult.

Between those posted by Yoda and me, you should be good for another month. :thumb

If your stereo is in working order(especially if you have the Bose stereo), you may want to look at one of those "Cassette to CD" adapters from the early '90s. You can use it to play music from your Ipod through the cassette deck in your vette. You can find one at Walmart for about $10. Congratts on your vette!

Is that the Rock Island Arsenal under the twin bridges in one of the pics?

Yes it is i grew up about 45 min from it. Spent alot of time on the river.

As far as i know the stereo is in good working order i just have heard the stories about how poor the stereo is so i have the buget to replace the unit so i have been considering it.

Oh on a side not, I have returned safetly from Afganistain today...

First, thank you for serving our country!!!
The stereo in your vette is most likely a Bose stereo, give it a listen before you repalce it. When working, it sounds really good! If you do replace it, know that you will have to replace the whole system speakers and all. The Bose system runs on low impedence and each speaker has its' own amp mounted at each speaker.

Welcome home and Gods speed to all those who are still serving in a war zone.

As for the Bose in your car. If my memory is still working I recall that GM had Bose design the the speakers and location for the radio in the C4. In it's day it was the very best you could get. The suggestion to have it serviced and upgraded by Dr. Dons would preserve the original quality with today's improvements. I sent my radio to him a few years ago and have not been disappointed it still sounds good to me.
