I just got a targa top for my '97 today. UPS was kind enough to send it 3 days late...but that's another story.
Anyway, the top has to be painted to match my car. I was wondering if anyone has painted one and if it's possible or even necessary to remove the black edge trim pieces that turn over the edge of the top on the sides.
The way they turn up over the edge of the top panel creates a little v-shaped channel. It looks like it would be very difficult to get the paint down in there. I tend to be a perfectionist about things like this. Sometimes more than I should.
