Came home to find my package of the Flitz product I have been seeing so many commercials for on the Speed Channel.Um....save your $!!!!!For some reason I really thought this product might be pretty darn good.Their marketing dept. done one stellar job on me

That name sounds like it hurts. :L

I've been thinking of Flitz myself, or a product to help me polish those chrome wheels. I found they are alot harder to clean this year, and don't look brand new this time around. They need some Flitz to bring them back......lol! Let me know how good the stuff works.

Wizards metal polish works good on Chrome or Aluminum.
It comes in a tin box like band aids. The cotton that is in the tin really cuts through oxide, and all you need is a little wad to do a whole wheel.

I use flitz... it really should be marketed as a metal cleaner/polish instead of the all around product they try to make it.

It is fantastic for cleaning chrome, stainless, etc. but for paint? i don't think so.

I keep it as a metal cleaner and use my regular waxes, etc on the paint.

I have been using blue magic on my rims and found that it works just as well if not better than the Flitz product.I'm telling you Flitz='s waste of $ IMO

Bought the polishing ball for the drill and a small tube of polish with s&h $40-should have just thrown it out the window

Saw this several times over the weekend. I've never bought any of that stuff off the TV. My 10 yr old was exited about it , we discussed the pricing and I just let it go, but I'll mention it too him as a lesson. Thanks for the report :beer

I've found that putting car wax on my wheels after I polish them makes them much easier to clean later - the brake dust comes off with a damp rag.

downside of wax is you can't wax chrome (shouldn't anyway). if you don't have chrome and wax, great, but wax tends to attract brake dust, making cleanings easier yet more frequent. Catch 22 :(

Flitz has been around for years... if you really want to try it, go to a local marine shop. you can get a tube for a few bucks.
