I split this out from blactopballr's post...

You didn't like the tips? Use your imagination and do what you please with your Corvette. Not many people are going to like what I did, Len's probably going to make some crack about "fart cans", but I like 'em. :upthumbs

Looks good to me too Ken... it never hurts to try something a little different. Do the tips affect the exhaust note?

Thanks. We welded a pair of three-inch brushed stainless-steel oval tips to a pair of Flowmaster Series 40 mufflers.

Ken, my exhaust note has been noticeably affected ever since I built the engine. The interior resonance is almost, almost I say, unbearable now. But not entirely unbearable. :D

Man, it sounds good from behind now though! :J

I realized I was hijacking blactopballr's post so I split this out. :D

Ken, where did you get the tips and who manufactures those? I'm going with a single outlet exhaust after the holidays and am looking for suggestions. I don't think it looks like a fart can at all. I've never heard anyone "rip" on any of Chuck Mallett's cars.....that's all he runs is single outlet exhaust. That's where I got the idea to do mine.:D Looks awesome!

Cliff, the Side Effects are still in my garage. I do miss the looks of those, but they just wouldn't work for me. :(

Jay, I'll have to ask my muffler guy who it is that makes 'em. ;)

Jay, I just got off the phone with my muffler guy and he told me that even he didn't know who the manufacturer was. I say was because he doesn't think they even make them anymore.

Chalk one up for my side--like my United States flag bug deflector on my truck (I only saw one other truck with it on my whole journey cross-country. ;)), the tips may be special to me. :D
