Hi

I was changing the starter in my 78 corvette and I touched the wire to medal and shorted something out..
The ignition fuse is blown now and every time i change it, it keeps blowing..And the car wont start..
Yes the battery should had been disconnected first.

Anyone know why the ignition fuse keeps blowing now, is there something else i could have shorted out..
thank you..

When you shorted the system you probably caused another wire to melt and that is most likely cause of your new short. I would also pull the starter and bench test it to see if it is still working.

You will either have to visually check each wire and/or test each of the wires point to point.

Good luck.
