So after fixing up the paint chips with some Dr. Colorchip stuff, putting on a new harmonic balancer, new intake manifold gaskets, new coolant, new (for me) wheels and tires, detailing the engine compartment, and the little of this and that. It is 80 and sunny here in West PA, and I had to the the Vette out.

The car looked great with the chrome wheels. Drove it through town and around campus. Got LOTS of attention, if not from the fact it is a Vette and very clean, the loud exhaust. First few miles or so me and her got the rust off of us. Never got on it until I was almost home. Ran like a champ. Shifted like one too gotta love your ZF 6 speed. Sounds glorious, I took it up a back road at about 70 MPH in 3rd about the sweet 3000-3500 range. Scared the crap out of a couple women folk outside. Its official I'm addicted all over again. Put a grin on my face your couldn't wipe off it you tried.

They need to sweep the roads out my way, so dusty the car had a gray tint to it when I got home. That is what California dusters are for I guess.

The attached pics do the car no justice my camera kinda stinks on ice. You get the idea however.

Looking Good!

Very nice looking.

We are such car sluts, huh? Seduced, again, by a simple drive.

It's nice outside.. go play with your toys! :w
