Well I went to the track yesterday with Grand Sport C3, worked 12 hours the night before so we figured we would spend a couple hours there seeing if he could get below a 12 second run on drag radials. Of course things DON'T always go as planned. This weekend turned out to be the Nostalgia Drags Weekend, plenty of old rods, rails, dragsters, you name it, even had 2 front engine Hemi rails from Don Garlit's collection there, Swamp Rat IV also, a really cool Henry J....man the oldies were everywhere and I was in heaven. But, so much for going early as they weren't going to let anyone run until 2pm, so I figured what the heck I'll stay for a couple runs and go home for a couple hours of sleep. Ya, sure, what was I thinking? Stayed until 5:30 then headed home for a shower and off to work another 12 hour shift.

Olivier didn't make it under 12, and before he even ran he broke an alternator bracket. So off we went in search of a new one, took a while but we found one, came back and he put it on and was off and running. Well, he was off but not running, needed some clutch adjustments as he couldn't shift into second on his first/second runs. Anyway, just wanted to post this before I went into a coma for the day, so....

Man, I don't have that kind of energy. Had to pick up my brother in law from the Airport at 12:30 a.m (Saturday) after having a usual up and out by 5:00 a.m. on Friday morning.

I was so tired by last night (because I got up early again and worked on my C4 all day) that I went to take a little "break" on the bed while we had some company over, and the next thing I know Nikki is yelling at me for being rude to the company and going off to sleep. I was like "What, huh, who?"

So, I have to ask you, how many double mocha capaccinos does it take to be you this weekend?

BTW, it aint really racing if you aren't breaking stuff. I sure hope Grand Sport C3 can hit the 11's real soon. The 12s are already in the bag, just need some more traction.

:L :L Well, I went into work and fired up a pot of super, normally I drink decaf so I was pretty buzzed Let's just say I won't be doing any more stunts like that for a while, I think I was halucinating on the way home this morning. Overall it was a fun day because all the old stuff that was out there. Even had the old "Jungle Jim" funny car there, I still have the model of that car that I built as a kid.
