Well I went to the track yesterday with Grand Sport C3, worked 12 hours the night before so we figured we would spend a couple hours there seeing if he could get below a 12 second run on drag radials. Of course things DON'T always go as planned. This weekend turned out to be the Nostalgia Drags Weekend, plenty of old rods, rails, dragsters, you name it, even had 2 front engine Hemi rails from Don Garlit's collection there, Swamp Rat IV also, a really cool Henry J....man the oldies were everywhere and I was in heaven. But, so much for going early as they weren't going to let anyone run until 2pm, so I figured what the heck I'll stay for a couple runs and go home for a couple hours of sleep. Ya, sure, what was I thinking? Stayed until 5:30 then headed home for a shower and off to work another 12 hour shift.
Olivier didn't make it under 12, and before he even ran he broke an alternator bracket. So off we went in search of a new one, took a while but we found one, came back and he put it on and was off and running. Well, he was off but not running, needed some clutch adjustments as he couldn't shift into second on his first/second runs. Anyway, just wanted to post this before I went into a coma for the day, so....
