Corvette Racing fans!

At the NCM bash there were a couple of questions to Doug Fehan, during a seminar, on who to complain to on improving the IMSA TV broadcasting over Fox Sports during the 2014 & future seasons. Doug responded that Corvette Racing fans needed to email their comments to IMSA and let them know how detrimental this TV package has been to racing and the series.

After checking the schedule I discovered that most of the races will be broadcast over Fox Sports 1, a channel most of us get, either through Satellite or cable. However, the Sebring race was a farce, with only 3 hours of TV. The last two IMSA races, Circuit of Americas and Petit Le Mans, have been moved to Fox Sports 2, a channel many of us on cable, such as Comcast, do not get. To make matters worse, Fox Sports thinks very highly of it's FS2 channel and is demanding a higher rate to cable companies, who refuse to pay it. On a Comcast forum there was a big discussion where Comcast explained the situation and indicated there was no FS2 coming to most areas.

IMSA & Fox have a 5 year deal that goes through the 2018 season. So, unless we can convince IMSA to keep all the racing on FS1, and do a better job showing the whole race, there will be no change in the future, and many of us will not see these races live. Corvette Racing fans are not the only ones who are upset as the other manufacture fans feel the same way. So, if you haven't been happy with the TV coverage please take a moment and contact IMSA, your cable company, and Fox Sports. Let them know that this motorsports TV package needs to be changed so that all fans can enjoy the racing, increase viewing and interest, and make the IMSA-Tudor series stronger.
Please pass this info to all your racing friends!
