gee... if I was quoted $160K for a ZR1 (which from a distance doesn't look any different than a 1LT Corvette Coupe) I would spend the extra $13K and get a true collectible, a Callaway C16!

Then again I would not even consider a ZR1 in favor of a C16... there is no comparison in terms of overall styling, interior quality, and of course 2008 C16 has more power than the ZR1 but I am sure that I am preaching to the choir here :D.

$160K + $13K = $173K
It works out the last time I checked ;)

I'd hope $160k isn't the norm for the ZR1. However, with the C16 comparo, how much does the C16 weigh? Just curious since the Z is so carbon-intensive. Though I'd bet the wheels weigh a fair bit more than those slick Dymag/Callaway ones.

Also, can you get ceramic brakes on the Callaway?

Ceramic Brakes are optional from Callaway - may be standard on the C16 in the future.

C16 weighs within 100 lbs of a base C6.

$160 is not the norm from what I have heard. Most I have heard from are letting the market decide and all but one has said $65k-$85k + MSRP :W

Amazing car for sure, but... :ugh

Chris,
You are spot on with the initial market pricing of the ZR 1. When I saw $160 I thought that wasn't a bad deal. I would choose a C16 but admit I'm biased!!!
