Can the fuel injectors be tested & cleaned at home? Has anyone of
you ever done this in the past? Thankyou all.

For what it's worth I have used a little Lucas cleaner in the gas tank. And you can disconnect the injector plugs and read the ohm value. I think but I am not sure (I'd have to look it up) that they should read 44 ohms?

If you are asking about off-board, utra-sonic cleaning and flow testing such as RC Engineering or CAC sponsor, South Bay Injectors, the answer is "yes" but you need to own the equipment with which to do it. The cost of this equipment is several thousand dollars. One well-known maker of this equipmnent is ASNU. See: ASNU – fuel injector diagnostic, testing, servicing and cleaning

As for cleaning them on car without special equipment cannot be done in the same manner as discussed above.

You can use various pour-in injector cleaners--the detergent based products, such as Red Line Complete Fuel System Cleaner and Chevron Techron, are by far the best--to "clean" mild cases of injector fouling. You also can evaluate the injector electrical components by using the tests listed in the Factory Service Manual.

It is not possible to flow test injectors on the car.

We will give you an idea of what is involved in testing and cleaning our fuel injectors. First of all, we utilize the latest ASNU technology.

1) Remove all external components
2) Clean and degrease the injector
3) Place into 2 different ultrasonic tanks
4) High pressure Reverse/back flush
5) Test resistance/ohms
6) Check spray pattern
7) Leak down test / 60psi
8) Check flow rate before and after
9) Clear coat and lubricate injector
10) Install new screens, orings, pintle caps, spacers, seals, retainers
11) Final inspection
12) Before and after flow sheet provided.
