inspecting a C2 bird cage

I am having someone take a look at a C2 for me and need some pointers on what to look for concerning the birdcage. since the car is all together, what pointers can we give him?

The most common problem areas are the lower corners of the windshield. Look for signs of rust flakes inside the carpet kicks around the air inlet area. Also, mine went in the area of the passenger door opening NOT covered by fiberglass.

We removed the fiberglass panel, and the metal underneath was perfect.
