I want to attach a wiper well cover to the lip forward of the wiper well. I prefer to use a threaded insert rather than a sheet metal screw, which will strip in time. I have been looking at various well-nuts, riv-nuts, and nut-serts and going nuts myself.:W I hear discussion of expanding riv-nuts cracking the fiberglass. Has anyone used these products on fiberglass? What about using epoxy or resin to set the riv-nut in a snug drilled hole? Thanks...I have read many forums and have not seen the glue solution. :ohnoes

The door mirror brackets are held on by a threaded insert (Well-nut) that has a rubber sleeve that bulges as the screw tightens thereby clamping it in the fiberglass.
