Hey guys I want to thank everyone for muffler sugestions. But new problems .Need alternater plus trying to figure out why interior lights don;t come on when I open doors.Lights work on headlight switch.Wires seem alright but can;t follow them upbehind speedomerter. Iguess what im trying to say will new swithes solve problem.Am buying new hood insulation thursday.Vender has new switches ;someone said something about atimer behind speedo could that be my problem. Well thank you ahead of time.

Are the switches in the door jam okay???

I had a similar problem. My dimmer control is a box the size of a cigarette pack plugged into the fuse panel. I unplugged the box and my interior lights worked....they no longer dimmer though...

Before you buy new switches, remove the old ones and clean them. I made the mistake of buying one and then was able to save the old one just by cleaning it with a small wire brush.

Granted a new switch was $5 or so but I did not like the new one since it had a plastic tip and I am sure that the factory did not use those in 1975.
