On my 1991 coupe the interior lights seem to stay on intermittingly after I shut the engine off and get out of the car. I went to start car today and battery was stone dead. I recharged it and then noticed the interior lights would not go out. It appears to be possibly connected to the power door locks as I moved the switch back and forth and the lights would go out. Anyone have any suggestions and/or experience with this problem or areas to check before I take it to a dealer (ugh).

You shud check the door ajar & hatch switches. This problem is getting to be pretty common. The switches can be pulled out slightly from the center pin. They also break easily. You might try a little tuner cleaner to loosen em up.;shrug

If the center pin in the door switch doesn't want to stay out after you adjust, get a very small o-ring and slip over it. That's what I had to do to make the right door switch push in far enough to stop the lights, and 'door ajar' message, from coming on.
