I have a 1960 Corvette that has a number of the interior screws and for lack of a better term washers missing. Is there someplace I can go to get these or will any phillips head screw of the same size work. The car is all original or original replacement parts and I would like to keep that way as much as possible. Anyone's suggestion would be appreciated.

I would try Paragon Reproduction http://www.corvette-paragon.com/ By the time you hunt down what you need at local hardware stores you may be better off just to buy a "kit" of the correct items. I don't know off hand exactly what you are looking for but I know they carry allot of small part kits, screws, retainers etc. Good luck

All the restoration parts houses have interior screw "kits" for each year car; much cheaper than buying them one at a time or trying to hunt down each one individually.
