Has anyone used an Ipod with Itrip addapter? I have a 2000 with the standard radio, disk changer in the trunk. I have it set up to work on station 87.9 as this works in my other GM vehichles. It seems as my Ipod and radio are not compatable. Is there a special way to set up the radio to interact with the Ipod? I was planning a road trip next week, so any quick help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

A buddy of mine bought an after market FM modulator to use with an IPod and it has worked fine.

You could also go to a sound shop and have the IPod hard wired into the stereo (can be done thru the RCA ports in the back of the stereo). Most people leave a pig tail coming out their glove box, and plug it in there.

I recently purchased the Pod-Aux device and will be installing it very soon. Search the forums for the exact link... but it replaces the connection to the CD changer in the trunk and allows you to skip tracks using the stock head unit.

I used to use an FM modulator like the iTrip but I wasn't impressed with the sound quality at all.

I'll post an update when it is installed.

I have an iTrip and use it all the time. the only time I seem to have trouble is when I forget and either have the volume too high or too low. Manual states no more then 80% volume on the iPod itself

Sorry I could not be more help

I installed my Pod-Aux adapter when I had to take the center console apart to replace the HVAC control unit. I took the opportunity to run the wire for the iPOD from the CD changer in the trunk, under the carpet, under the center console and up where the ash tray would be so I can hide the cable in there when not in use. I also bought the iPOD mount from ProClip.

The Pod-Aux adapter was approximately $140 with shipping and the ProClip setup was another $70. The Pod-Aux adapter is definately worth the money. I can't say the same about the ProClip holder though.

I just wish I would've remembered the camera when I had everything apart.
