Is it enough?

Is the adhesive on wheel emblems enough to keep them planted for a long time?

I just purchased "new" 88-89 chrome wheels for my Vette and then purchased new emblems to replace the ratty old ones for each of the center caps.

After heating the caps up with a hairdryer, I popped each of the old emblems out, and it looks to me that some sort of rubber cement was added to the backs of these emblems to augment the adhesive.

Is this something I need to consider when installing the new emblems? Thanks!

Yes, something like V05, when I break hard the sweet smell of that stuff will wafe over the countyside. :J
