Is the Corvette C7 ZR1 a proper american supercar?

In my opinion I think the Corvette ZR1 C7 is the definition of an American super car. Many people just classify it as the stereotypical slow Ferrari wannabe but I think the ZR1 is a super car, Not just a sports car, Not a budget Super car, It is the American Super car icon!

What are your opinions?
