Is There a Tool?

I need to take out one of the 1/8 inch pipe plugs that are in the block. It's a tight space and I can't get to it with a wrench. I have looked all over the place and can't find a square socket to use to take it out. Is there a special tool or socket to use on these square heads?

I see where they have them that take Allen wrenches. That would be so much easier.

I can't see why a gear wrench won't work, if you are talking about the same type of plug that is in the side of a manual transmission. Sorry...just noticed 1/8 inch...tiny sucka

Can't get a wrench on it. Too tight.

try a 1/4" drive breaker bar or use a 1/4" square lathe tool bit and a cresent wrench

I had a "key" in my toolbox, basically a small tire iron. 4 sides with each side getting a little bigger. Opposing sides were 5/32 and 1/4 on one horizontal. The 5/32 fit the square head and the 1/4 took the torque wrench. A little teflon tape and 10 - 15 ft/lbs of torque and I should be good to go.
