Is there a trick to getting the headlight housing to raise if the manual knob doesn't make it come up. I installed the bronze gears about 8 months ago with no problems and now the drivers side headlight doesn't come up. It appears to try but is'nt able to make it. When I turn the manual knob (counterclocwise) per the shop manual nothing happens. The passenger side manual knob works fine. Has anyone had issues with the bronze gears?

I would find out first if when you manually crank the armerature that the output shaft that comes from the gear housing is also turning and continues to turn when you apply resistance.. it may be that your gears are okay, but the bracket that raises the headlight may be loose and lost its index. I would also check to make sure that the plastic housing hasn't come apart. - Ron
