I read about an article in the VETTE magazine about this guy's '75 with a ZZ4 crate engine and TPI. He said that he gets 24 mpg. Is this possible?? :confused

i'm not an expert on engines but if the mallet 435 gets 27.5 mpg oh the highway anything is possible

Stallion with todays technology anything is possible. You could get that kinda mileage out of your car if you changed the 4 speed for a 5 or 6 speed.

:beer

fuel injection is great.
my 87 gets 22 doing city driving.

yeah im about 22-25 now with my zz4 cammed 360 with tpi and 700r4.big difference from my old 355,750 holley 5-7 mpg.if im beating on it im around 17-20 still not bad.

yes i did, took me about 9months but i didnt work on it steady on and off when i could.

patsnitrovette, it looks really nice under your hood. Have you run your car at the strip? Giving a lot of thought about doing something similar to your setup, and would love to here yoru times.

thanks,im waiting for my chip to come back from being modified, hopefully next month ill make it to the track and give it a run.

I see what you mean. If I wasn't 100% stock, then I would put fuel injection and a 6 speed in. :) That is definitely a smart move. But I wouldn't sacrafice my stock-ity for this. :D
