I don't know if it is too ricy (if that is a word) but I don't think I would do it.

I think thats phat, cept it dosnt look real for some odd reason. Is that the box picture or are those words "Makoto Auto Trends" really in the way?

Its very nice Chris. Its more of a modern update than rice I think. If I had the interior I would do it for sure!

re:

Looks nice, I like it
the "Makoto auto trends" was put over the picture with photshop or some other graphics program.

there is another style on ebay without the big block of neon at the bottom of the tach... i think it looks a bit better... I have been trying to find one for my 8000 rpm tach with no luck, I think they look very cool... I would honestly like to convert all the lights on the interior to blue, but have no idea how to do it

maybe if the vette was in japan, you know so it'd be considered an import, then maybe it'd be ok to put those in........i dont know ......looks a little to "ricey" for me but as blacknblue95 proved it, even neon lights look good when done the right way

Acually ive never seen a pic of a normal tach for a vette. so i wouldnt know how to compare them. put compared to a 99 Caviler, 80's ford, an 80's ram, and a 2002 Accord i like it. I was also wondering about digital... does it work good? because i remember a long time ago, there was a car that had a digital one, and it alwyas said the gas was empty and it said we were doing 20 miles more than we really were.

Chris, I'm talking to a company right now up in Canada about doing custom white faced gauges with the ZR-1 logo in them. We'll see what happens. If they look the way I want them to, they wouldn't be rice at all.

No way. Too "tuner" car for me. Plus, i'd have to change everything else from orange lettering to that color. It would miss match very poorly. :puke

This would look real nice in a Grand Sport. The only problem is, where are the needles. I hope its not all digital.

You use your existing needles. It's just a replacement for the gauges/dials. It's only for C5's though, isn't it? Although the seller did have other vehicle panels available...

This is some kind of a face plate replacement, so the needles would have to come off and go back on after changing.

This is for 90-96 model C4 vettes.

I guess the LCD digital in the middle would still be orange, so I am not sure how that would look with a neon/blue surround, and the stereo, climate, etc would still be orange.

That company your talking to, do they do custom work?
I'd like a set of white face gauges for my C3, 81, but I can't justify spending big $$$ on all new gauges.
I'm wondering if they make OVERLAYS to stick on over the existing gauges using the current needles.
Anybody know a company doing this?

This company can pretty much do anything you want

The gauges I'm going to have done will have the ZR-1 logo in them:_rock

I bought the kit and instead of hacking up my instrument cluster, I thought I'd get a spare and I could always return it back to stock form later....if need be.

I'm waiting for my guage cluster and will post pics when it's installed.

Smart move.. I would like to see pictures of that.. it's been a while since I've sat in the vette with the lights on.. I don't think I would like the contrast of the digital cluster against the rest of the gauges but I like the glowing blue look.. if I were to do something like that I would change all the amber bulbs I could inside my vette over to either white or blue or something like that.. but then it starts to get cheesy.. I would like to see pics though when it's all installed..
