9 months ago I left the states for a tour in S Korea. My 72 was in the shop getting a new crate motor. Family picked it up and took it to the garage once it was finished. Its been sitting there ever since. Today I am back in the states on leave and the wife made me promise I would spend the evening with her and not my car. What a tough call.

It is a tough quandary to be in, but the wife should be minded.

Here is why. She has been running the house-hold without help for 9 months. Now that you are back, make her feel like you have missed her more than anything else, trust me, there is a method to the madness. Don't overrule her on her decisions. She has planned your return for a while, and she wants to make sure everything goes without a hitch.

Once she gets the satisfaction of having you home, paraded it you around town, and made arrangements for family to visit you again, she will get back to her routine, and even suggest you take a drive on the good ol' Vette.

But dude, before then, take and enjoy everything coming your way.
