I want to get the front and back of my car up on jackstands but dont want to jack it from the sides and possibly damage the body. Can someone tell me if you can jack the car from the front and rear. Also where do you position the floor jack and where is the correct place to put the 4 jack stands. thanks

Actually there is a cross brace in the center of the car, NASCAR position, small board to keep the jack from cracking the rocker and lift one side at a time.

If you use a 25" long 2" by 6" board under the crossbrace, front or rear, you can jack the car up under the center of the board and then insert the stands toward each end of the boards, and then remove the jack! But be sure the board is a 2'' by 6'' and be sure to span the webbing. You will probably need to drive the Corvette up on some 2" thick boards to get the jack and board under it. Pressure treated wood works best for this.:)

Oh, and make sure that the board does not push up on anything but the crossbrace!

Follow 1g1yy's advice. Use the 2x6's cut to 25inches - they are exactly right. I used this approach and placed the jack stands on jacking pucks at the side locations. Kept the car up there for 4 days. No probs. Also recommend boards under the front wheels. I didn't drive up on boards - put the jack at the front jack point (with puck in place) and just jacked the car up and slide the boards under the tires. That way I wouldn't have to worry about the board kicking up. Also, I raised the front first.
