Jimmie Johnson races teammate Mark Martin in the Allstate 400 at the Brickyard at
Indianapolis Motor Speedway...

INDIANAPOLIS – A year after winning an Allstate 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway plagued by tire problems, Jimmie Johnson repeated Sunday, passing Mark Martin for the lead with 23 of 160 laps remaining and holding off his teammate for the win.

That he did. But Jimmy started deep in the field, was no factor all day yet came up strong in the end! You've got to hand it to his crew chief. That's one of the few races I've watched flag to flag in a couple of years.

The guy who actually had the whole field, including the 48 and the 5, covered was Juan Montoya but he squandered that advantage by screwing up and going too fast in the pits.

Neverthess, I'm always glad to see Mr. Hendrick win.

I tell you one thing, it kinda looks like the 48 is beginning another run at the Championship.

My biggest disappointment of the day was the 88 blowing up.

I don't think its gonna be too far fetched for him to win another championship this year. Seems like when the pressure is on he and Knaus come thru it smelling like a rose.
