I am from Kent, England and have just realised a dream. I have just purchased a 1981 Black 350ci, it has only covered 34,000 miles from new. I have been reading these forums for a while and am posting a pic of my new car, let me know what you guys think.

Paul.

Paul, welcome to the CAC!
The 81 looks GREAT! congratulations.

Tammy

Thanks guys, Have wanted a 'vette for years and I just love all corvettes. They just have so much character. I think i will be a regular on here, just hope i don't ask too many silly questions!!!

Paul,

Your '81 looks beautiful!! Congratulations and welcome to the Corvette Action Center. There's no such thing as a "silly" question so ask away!!

Elaine

Nice looking ride, it must get a few looks over there? Many around at all? Enjoy the forums.:beer

Awsome looking ride, and welcome to the CAC. Hope your able to keep the tank full! Fuel prices are coming down slightly here in the states but UK must be a lot higher per gal/liter. I bet you get a lot of looks when filling up though. Let us know what it is like in the UK with a vette.

Very nice ride!! And don't worry about silly questions, everybody here is knowledgeable and very patient so you won't be getting yelled at. This community is #1 and the best. :)

:cool Another 81 owner:upthumbs Nice car and low miles, sounds like you found a good one. Don' forget to register your car on the L81 Vette Registry:w

Are you anywhere near Surrey? I know a bloke in that neck of the woods who also has an '81!

NICE RIDE! Of Course, I am a little partial to them! Jim

Great Vette man!

Welcome to the CAC!

Thanks guys, you are right there are not that many Corvettes in the UK and they do attract alot of attention and looks. Petrol is very expensive at around £3.50 per gallon or in US $5.20 per gallon approx!!! but hey what better way of burning money than driving a 'vette!!!

page62, I live in Kent which is the next county to Surrey, so not far at all.

Hi, congrats on the car. Very nice!

Ya'know Ive heard Europeans exclaim that we Yanks dont have much reason to complain about gas prices and I pay about $1.60 a gallon U.S. for unleaded in my daily drivers and about $3.70 a gallon for 110 Octane Leaded Racing Fuel... I dont feel so bad for myself now!

Take care and enjoy the ride.

J.

Congrats, Paul and welcome to the :CAC! Love that black :D.
