Just burned up third Jacobs ignition

Just burned up the third Jacobs ignition system. Now I need to decide if I have it repaired again or just go for another system.
This is a HEI on a BBC engine running 4 psi of boost, usually never see high RPM.

The Jacobs system is going on 5 years old, and has been sent in twice before for repairs, there has to be something better out there, any suggestions?

There a LOT of msd systems in use. Sure, they crap out too ... but their failure rate is probably very small.

MSD and Crane are the usual suspects. Mallory if your on a budget.

I have a Crane in my supercharged Z28 and MSD in my Vette. Both work just fine. the Crane BTM is a nicer setup than the MSD (it's all in the same box - no second box is required).

I have to ask if your coil is matched to the ignition box. A coil mis-match will eat the ignition...

I'm using the coil that Jacobs sold me when I bought the full system, assume it's the right one, but I'll check into that.
