Just got a Z06 !!

I just got a 2002 Electron Blue Z06 with 5000miles on the clock. I traded my '97 A4 coupe plus a large pile of money to get it.

What a car! I love the sound, the gear ratios (except the 1 to 4 shift- it has to go), the color, etc etc. Now I see what I have been missing. It is nice to be a member of this 'club'.

I've been taken for a long ride on twisty mountain roads with a great driver in her Z06...and all I can say is: FUN! FUN! FUN!

I took it to the local drag strip. It is at 2600 ft and it was hot out. I ran a 13.4 at 108 on street tires. I will improve as I learn how to drive it. I also think that a couple of extra wheels with drag radials would be a good idea. Has anyone done this?

Congrats on the new Z06! You know the Electron Blue one's are the fastest color right, so that 1/4 mile time will improve greatly.
What color interior... Black or Red?
Mine is EB/Red, just put a Donaldson Blackwing on two weeks ago. Seems to wake it up even more than the cut lid trick that I did two months ago. Probably one of the greatest "bang for the bucks" one can do by opening up the intake stream, RPMs come up noticeably faster.

Thanks for the nice words from all. Mrs Schroder- I already ordered one and I have printed your post on how to install it. I think my favorite thing about the car is the sound it makes.
Vettepilot- It has a black interior. I looked at a black Z06 with black and red interior. That may be great for some people, but it is a bit too much for me.

skip shift harness

I got that 1-4 CAGS harness installed. The only hard part is getting the car in the air far enough to get under it. Even on jack stands, I do not like to be underneath anything that weighs 3000 pounds. It was very easy to install. I really like to see the '1-4 shift' light come on as I pull it down into second gear.

Just imagine how hard it was being under that 3000 lbs and trying to take pics...

Yeah, tomorrow 7/11/03 I pick it up around noon. Yes, another electron blue ZO6 will be in on the Corvetteactioncenter. This one a guy ordered and cancelled when it arrived. My dealer called me and asked if I was interested. (YEP)......TWIST MY ARM! I feel bad for the guy, his wife lost her job, and they needed both incomes to buy it. Now I have to start all over again with mods. Oh well, supercharger time!
