Hello All,

I have a 1975 corvette and the key buzzer never worked. I tested the buzzer with a 12 volt source and it works. Can any one explain how the key warning works? I looked under the dash at the fuse box and the buzzer that is strapped to the wire harness and pugs into the fuse box is missing. I did find a black wire (I think plugs into the buzzer at the fuse box) and when I plug that to the fuse box the key warning buzzer sounds when the key is turned but does not stop until the key is removed. Can you one help? Thanks.

Thank you for the warm welcome! This site is great!!
Thanks for the info. I performed the tests listed in the document and it seems the problem is in the streering column. Do you know of any links or documents that tells you how to remove the steering wheel to replace the Key Warning Buzzer Switch? I have a Tilt & Tele steering column.

Thanks again for your help.

Everything you ever need to know about a GM steering column is somewhere in Jim Shea's papers. :upthumbs
