Hi!
I would be very grateful if someone would help me resolve my problem. I
bought a remote controller for my C4 convertible and programmed it.
Normally roof opens by pushing right button, but by pushing left button
only the co-drivers door opens. Part of the problem is also that the door
cannot be locked, but can only be unlocked.

The remote key only unlocks the passanger side. But it should also lock it. That's how it is described in the user's manual and mine works exactly like that. The driver side locks & unlocks with the regular key. Or you could program your keyless entry system to unlock & lock both doors when you approach / disapprocah the car.

Try re-programming again following the instructions in the manual. The case on mine is loose and I have to re-program if the battery loses contact. I do this when one door or the other or the hatch does not open like it should.

How could I program my keyless entry system to unlock & lock both doors???

1. Make sure you have a good battery and the case is shut tight. The latch often breaks and you have to re-program when it loses battery contact.

2. Put the ignition key in the ignition, but don't turn it on.

3. press DOOR on the transmitter until the door locks cycle (about 2 seconds)

To turn it off you take the key out of the ignition and holding the DOOR key on until the door locks cycle turns it OFF.

Keyless entry help!

I have a question regarding the "Keyless Entry" System
I have a 94 Coupe LT1 6-speed, when I bought the car (Pre-Owned)
The dude I bought it from did not give me anything regarding the Keyless
entry, my question is...............Did the 94 I own have a Keyless entry system?
How do I find out? and if it did have one, how do I go about getting it working again?
thanks:beer

Read somewhere that it became standard option in 93. You'll need a Key FOB, which is the transmitter. You would then have to program the system. The RPO is AUO just in case I got my years mixed up. Do you have the owners manual for programming instructions?

Where do I go and get a Key FOB
what is RPO and AUO?

You can try e-bay, GMparts or Superior Chevy, Chris May, 800 728-8267. I'm sure other members will have some options for you. RPO means Regular Production Options, basically how your car is equipped. The list of codes shud be under the console lid or try under the pass/side storage compartment. AUO is RPO for Passive Keyless Entry.

Thanks!!
