Drove to work this morning and it was raining. Locked my car with the remote and it worked fine. Completed work and went to unlock the 99 and it would not work. I used the key to get in and everything seemed to work OK. Tried the other remote when I got home and it does not work either. The remotes are totally dead. This includes Lock, Unlock, Trunk and alarm. I know the main control unit is in the trunk on the drivers side but do not know of a fuse. Battery dead in remote was discounted since neither remote works. Any and all help would be appreciated.

I had this same problem and reset the remotes per the owners manual and it fixed the problem.

Yup that will do it. Just reset the remotes.. Its in the manual but if you dont have it Let me know and i'll look for it

Hi there,
If you just stand next to the fuel filler door, and hold the lock and unlock button on a remote, you should hear a horn sound after about 20 seconds.
Then, repeat the procedure for the second one, and you should be just fine.

I had the same problem, but only one, mine, of the remotes stopped working. Do I need to reprogram both or will the next time my wife drives the car am I going to be in trouble?
