Know of a good shop to get a tranny in South Texas?

Im going to swap the tranny for a 700r4 or 200 either or it doesnt matter to me. Ive gotten a good deal on a low miles one here and a good price onthe rebuild as well. Around $375 for the tranny and $200 for the rebuild. If anyone knows of a better price or maybe the same price but a reputable joint that would help. I live in San Antonio.

Mac the prices sound good. a local shop here is getting over 500 for the same rebuilt trannies.

I am also in SA. I've hunted around for people that do good work on our cars. I like Corvette Service. They are right off of 281 and Nakoma behind Casey's BBQ. Doug Snyder is the guy that I've dealt with. He has done a lot of the work on my car in the last couple months. He is also really generous with his time...I've stopped by there on the way home from work and he has talked me through some problems I've had (no charge!). Another decent shop here in town that seems to do honest work is (interestingly) Advanced Asian Auto near Blossom. Who have you tried before Macgyver?

yeah i thought sounded great Robin I just didn tknow what the norm was.

MrGibbly I opened the phonebook and went thrwe everyone w/ a big ad. Then went threw to the listings to see if a name sounded good and called about everyone. The tranny place next to pick and pull is the one that is selling me the tranny. Trans Man is the one installing it. They have like 13 locations so i figured if its a franchise then that wont be too bad since Ive had some run ins w/ driving to the Westside and getting something done cheap. I guess Ill just picka Trans location on my part of town or NE side, somewhere nice.

Ill def check out that corvette service though that sounds good, thank you.
