Hey people

Just a quick question for a quick answer, as looking to bid online shortly.
L88 Bonnet (replica as long type), but I have never seen the under side of one before.
Is this what they are supposed to look like? See how the scoop comes right through the top and into the engine compartment?.

Your comment please!

It's hard to tell from that little picture. Do you have the link?

Here's the underside of my short hood but I have the air chamber installed. In that picture of yours there is no air chamber.

Hi Paranoid

The link is

It hard to see, but the front edge of the raised (L88 part) part seems to come through the bonnet, but your looks similar in front of your airbox.

$500 starting bid ;shrug ...I'd pass unless it's close to where you live. You can get a new one from Ecklers (who has the original mold from GM) for about that price.

Looks like a long L-88 hood.

I see you have an '81, You better check the front of your hood. Is it pointed like the '68-72's? Or is it more of a straight line like this pic? If it's like the one below I don't think it'll fit.

Hey Paranoid

I understand that you guys would freak at the price, but by the time we get one from Ecklers its $529 plus P & P plus Import Tax x exchange rate = about $1100 kiwi, so its not to bad @ $500 kiwi.

You should see the price of the C3's here, you guys would have heart attack!

Thanks for your comments

I looked at your photos, and thought am I being stupid?, they look the same at the front edge.
So I checked Ecklers and they list L88 bonnets as up to 76, and 77 and up.
Is this because of the front edge?
If so - :BOW because I would have blown it!
Learning all the time, thanks
