Lady Is Alive!!!!!!!!!

Folks,

As many of you are aware, have been restoring my 1963 Z06 I lovingly call "LADY". Well, I visited Tony's Corvette this morning and turned a few wrenches and basically was getting in the way. Well, I had to leave and do some other things. Tony just called and said LADY WAS ALIVE!!!!!!!!!

He said they had her running at about 2000 RPM on the tach and had been for about 20 minutes. He said the temp gauge was sitting at about 140 degrees, oil pressure at about 70 psi, battery was still charging - ALL GOOD SIGNS!

He said there were no visible leaks anyplace on the motor. They had the car in the air and he said there was no visible leaks anywhere, so far. He said there was one weep from the upper radiator hose - clamp was tight, so he wasn't sure if it was a definite problem yet or not. He thought once the hose "seated" that weep would hopefully stop. We will see.

I'm sure you must feel great about LADY. As for the upper radiator hose leak, I'm sure it's just LADY "weeping" in joy to finally be running again and like Tony says will soon stop.

When I met you at Tony's shop last month you said LADY was going to be trailered until you went through for Flighting, PV, and Bloomington.
Are you going to take her for a drive first at least at Tony's before she is on the trailer or are you going to wait until after all the judging?

will be taking her for her first spin hopefully Wednesday! then show at Front Royal, VA on Saturday - Wildwood next weekend, Bloomington in June and NAtional in July

thanks for all the replys! will keep all posted as I take LADY on the circuit this summer! hopefully, will TOP FLIGHT Saturday at Front Royal. then will get the PERFORMANCE VERIFICATION at Wildwood, a GOLD at Bloomington, and finally a TOP FLIGHT at Windsor! should be an exciting next few months!
