Hi my 68 has leak that appears to be coming from the rear vents that are located on the rear right behind the rear window.

I think that the drains form the vent are clogged, but I can not find a location for the drains, does any one know where they are located at? ;shrug

I replaced them on my 75, bet there the same. The hose comes out in the rear wheel opening. If you pull the wheel and look straight in and up you will find it, It however does not look like a hose hanging out, it has a half moon shaped cover over it

Mason: got the '68 AIM? AIM shows where these are located. There are two of them on a '68 convertible.

:)

Yeah I have the '68 AIM, but not sure where the drain is located at.

Based on the AIM it looks like I have the remove the spear tire. The post from Daryl refers to the coupe, while my car is a convertable.

I guess this weekend I have the jack the car up and look for it.

I have a '68 convertible. If memory serves, the driver's side drain comes straight out to the rear inner fender panel. I'm thinking the passenger's side drops straight down, but don't bet the farm on that one.

:)

The drains on my 75 coupe are a thin neoprene tube about 3/4" diameter with a flange cast into the end that attaches to the inner rear wheel well (under the half moon cap). My drains were not clogged, they were cracked and spilt, and disintegrating. This allowed water caught by the rear deck vents, which would normally run into the rear wheel wells and out on the ground, to drain into the rear luggage area instead (you can see them from the rear luggage area behind the seat backs). Replacement was simple. The hose end slides over the hose barb built into the vent body and the flange has three mounting screws on the other end. I don't remember whether there are hose clamps or what kind they might have been on the other ends. I replaced them when I did the new carpet and upholstery.
