LED Tail Lights C4

Anyone install those LED tail lights that are for sale in one of the Corvette catalogs? They seem like they would be cool looking. Everytime I pass a tractor trailer that has those round LED trailer lights, I wonder if they would/could be made to work in the back of our vettes. The ones for sale are around $400 and it is probably a lot of work to change them. Just wondering if anyone has any information,

Haven't installed the LED lights, but I like the look of them too. Did a quick search and found this website http://www.led-r-us.com/index.shtml. Hit "LED Lights" on the left and scroll down and you will find a couple of 4.33" round lights.

I'm sure that with little modification, these type of lights would fit in the tail lamp of the 'Vette. And only $29.95 each, that's only $120.00 compared to $400.00+/-!

Intruyder9, I went to that site and purchased 4 today. They are giving a 20% discount! So I should get them for around $100 including shipping. Now I just have to see if I can make them fit in the car!! I will keep you informed.

If those work, that will be the buy of the year! I will certainly order some from that company. Now, if we can just figure out how to do the LeMans-style stationary headlamp cheap, we will be in buisness ($1100, ouch)

I got those units yesterday. The Corvette lights are 6 inches and the units are only 4.33 in diameter. Also there is no reflective surface on these LED units. Corvette America has bolt in LED lights for $329 it think. I may consider them. I will keep every informed.

LED tail lights will require a special tail light relay. Go to this website www.adjureinc.com/index2.htm and you can buy the complete kit for about $325.00. I have purchaced a kit for my 92. The kit contains 4 LED lights and 1 relay. Just thought you would like to know. If you don't see the tail light kit on the website then call the contact phone number and ask them about the light kit.

Ecklers also has a kit. Sorry about the link. I tried it myself and had no luck. As far as pictures go........I am having some work done on my vette. When I get it back I will post pictures. LED Tail Lights

These LEDs came from the website I listed. I'll try to have pics of my lights posted by this weekend. As far as cheaper lights, I don't know of anyone who is cheaper. Just remember you get what you pay for.
