Got the body off and all went well. I went thru the checklist on the board and it came off in a snap. Kind of scared me that it went so easy.

Congradulations.

How scary was that pulling it off for the first time. I know I was real nervous the first time I pulled the body on the 62. I just thought for sure the car was going to fold in half. Its shocking how strong the glass is on the car.Draw a picture of how the shims were now and put it away fro when the body meets the frame again.

Best of luck with your project.

Congratulations!

Now let the fun begin; Document as much as you can when disassembling, it will make it a lot easier when you start to put it back together. Keep us posted on your progress; I enjoy following others restoration projects.

Congrats on the successful body pull. This is a major mile stone. First thing I did at this point was to power wash all the crud off the separated body and frame before continuing with the disassembly. Good luck to you.

Thanks for the encouragement guys, my plans at this point are to change a-arms to tubular a-arms, vbp spring up front, steeriods steering, cut out the stock crossmember and install bowtie overdrives 200r4 crossmember, tom's differential setup in the rear, twin turbo v-6 (might be switching to a chevy v-8- I'm going back and worth on this one, wife says I'm worst then a women), rock valley fuel tank, not sure on intake yet either, powder coating frame, and then taking it to Corvette City in Denver for extended fenders and few other body repairs.

That should keep me busy for the winter, really hope to have it done by May. Hope to have it broke in and take it to the Black Hill Classic rally in South Dakota for her madien voyage.
