List of States that wash titles?

Does anyone have a list of States that are known to be red flags for a washed title? Also what how far back does Carfax have accurate information. I am in the market for a 96 LT4 or if I have no luck a 94-96 LT1. I want to make sure I don’t get a lemon. I notice a lot of corvettes seem to have titles from states very far apart. I.E. a car that was in Mass. then ends up in Virginia and then up to NY.

Not real sure but seems I have heard that FL and NY are two of them.
