Any ideas how I might locate my 70? My last contact was about ten years ago, but I cannot put my hands on the guy's number. Is there some VIN database to search? It's not in the registry. Thanks!

First off, Welcome to the CAC!
As far as finding your old car, I would recommend putting an ad in the "Information Wanted" section of the NCRS Driveline publication. That's who posts ads in that section, mostly people looking for a certain car.
I don't know if the car is possibly still local to you, but ask (or join) the closest Vette club if anybody knows of the car.
Seems to me there is even some sort of database here in the CAC, but I'm not sure how to access it
