Does a scoop like that actually help any with the TPI? What modifications are made to get the incoming air where it's needed?

damn, if you want to go for the "intimidation factor" on the street that would do it.

I actually like it. Is it truely functional? how much does it affect or obstruct your driving view?

I like it for the intimidaton factor too. I would change the round holes in the intake to oblong holes (kinda like the later taillights) as I think it would look more asthetic with the parking light design. Just a thought.

A little too "Batman" for my taste but to each his own.....

Everybody has different tastes in what they like in automotive designs, but..... to me that smacks of a vehicle from a Mad Max movie.

We discussed several options for the front.
Louvers that opened when in motion, or connected to the throttle cable.
Color combinations of the al. plate and the screens.
The ease of cleaning inside of the scoop by removing the face plate.
And keeping rainwater out of it.

James should post today and be able to answer some questions as well as ask yall a few himself!

What kind of handling do you need when you're only going ¼mile at a time?;LOL

Can't say I like it, has too much of a "poser" or Mad Max look...but, like the man said, that's why Baskins Robbins has so many flavors....each to his own taste,

have not caught up with him to hear how day 2 with it installed on his 89 has gone. Day 1 drew lots of thumbs up around the Cruisin the Coast crowd.
He did mention that BETA was going to be a bit smaller.
