I'm new to the forum. Looking to buy my first classic corvette after many years of consideration. I am looking for:

-'69-'72 'air' coupe or convert.
-350/300 preferred (ok with the 270h.p. on 70-72)
-numbers match
-clean
-not much work needed (seat covers, carpet, minor mech. ok.)
-good paint GOOD driver quality minimum. (not looking to re-paint anytime soon)
-original color to car preferred
-prefer 4 speed manual
-some doc's (realize i won't get alot of orig. doc's in my price range)
-lower mileage

I'm located in Southern NJ and would prefer to find something local (PA, DE, MD, CT, NY, NJ) but will consider anything. I'm looking for a car to actually drive.. (local shows, cruises, ,etc)....not looking for a pure collector, but something to enjoy AND make money on way down the road.

I don't know if this is even an option but if there are any members in the North East that would either look at a car with me, or go see one for me let me know. I'm new at this and would love to get expert advice on some of these cars I'm interested in.

if you or any of your friends have anything that fits what i'm looking for, please let me know. I am ready to buy immediately.

Thanks!

Dont know what your budget is and Im not sure if you have exhausted all the collector car sites online yet. Check www.collectorcartrader.com,corvette trader, classic cars..e=bay etc...Good Luck!!! Itys a good time to find one in the North this time of year!!

My warbonnet yellow 71 vert is available. It has TH400 auto, NO 'air', NO a/c & located in SC near I-95 & I-20 ... other than that it seems to meet or exceed your criteria. $ within your range ... just barely. Email only if serious.

If you or someone you know has one for sale please respond ASAP. I am very strict on hitting most of my criteria above as well.

Thanks!

I don't believe MM-C5 owned that car. Click on the pointer, which has the owner/member info. -John

John is correct, I did not own the car.......Just Wish I Could! Check that link to see if it is still for sale.

Not trying to hijack anyone's thread but, since TSAGG has ruled out a coupe in his list of criteria I would be greatful if anyone knowing of such a car, fitting all of his criteria, to my attention.
I too am looking to purchase a 1969-1972 Corvette copue with all of the items that TSAGG listed as part of his criteria for buying.
I would prefer a 1969 with the 350/350 engine but I am not going to be picky.

First of all, get out of rust land looking , unless the car was never drove it probably has either been patched underneath or worse, needs it.. I bought my 77 as a California car, No rust . No resto. As clean underside as the top, not a perfect car by any means but I had rather replace sun damaged interior than a rusted out frame. Its definatly worth the extra miles if its going to be an investment or a keeper . Everyone doesn't relish these cars as we do . When I was in Cleveland area I met several Corvettes in the winter weather , to some its just a car/because they can. Just my .02

You'd be better off starting your own at this point.
