I'm looking for a reputable Corvette mechanic in the Columbus, GA, or Auburn, AL area. I'd even settle for LaGrange, GA.

Does anyone here have any contacts or experience with mechanics in the listed areas? :w

Tack on another 55 miles from LaGrange and I have one here in Conyers Ga. Been using him for 10 years. Both the owner and his lead mechanic are excellent on vettes of all years.

Bring it to Len's house and he'll fix it for free. :D

Or better yet Edmond, they could fix their cars together :)

Actually taking Len up on that offer may not be a bad Idea. I would drive some extra miles to get a proven mechanic.

Long Drive

Ouch..Conyers, GA is one heck of a drive in a limping vette to get an initial estimate. Can you give me a phone number, and/or street address for this shop. I'll keep it on the short list. I'd hate to have to go that far, but it may be my only resort.

Thanks for the feedback.

Anyone else got any good suggestions???

:)

Is the car not driveable?

Thanks for "pimping" me out Edmond.....;LOL

Actually I'd be happy to "host" AORIII while he's here if necessary.

ps: aoriii........you have a pm.........

vetteboy: Yes, the car is driveable - in fact it's my daily driver to work and back. But in the last few months, it's let me down a lot. So I guess I just don't trust it a lot at this point.

nyernga: thanks for the info. If I can't find anyone close, then I'll give them a call.

Why not fix it yourself. The people here are extremely knowledgeable and the L98 isn't a very complex vehicle. I was apprehensive at first about fixing my '88 but the people here gave me the confidence to do it.

The problems you're experiencing are problems that we've all faced and I think that we can get you through it and save you some $$$ in labor.

Maybe my eyes are going but: I read this thread twice and there is no mention of whats wrong with the car.
